Applying from Out of Province

You must be a member of the regulatory body in the province in which you work.  Therefore, if you work in Nova Scotia as a dietitian, you must be licensed with NSDA. 

The Application Process

1. Retain your membership in the province where you currently live until you are licensed with NSDA.

2. Apply to NSDA.  Click here for the NSDA Application Form.

3. NSDA will contact the regulatory body in which you are currently a member to transfer your membership to NSDA. 

4. New members will be required to complete the NSDA Continuing Development Self-Directed Learning Tool within 45 days of registration with NSDA.

Important:  Do not resign from the regulatory body which you are currently a member until you are licensed with NSDA.
