Qualifications
To be licensed as a professional dietitian (P.Dt.) or nutritionist in Nova Scotia, the applicant must have met the following requirements:

A four-year Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from a university accredited by Dietitians of Canada (or equivalent)

A 35-40 week program of practical training accredited by Dietitians of Canada (or equivalent)

Successful completion of the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE).

QE II Health Science Centre Food and Nutrition Services 1278 Tower Rd. Halifax, NS B3H 2E1 The NSDA Registration Committee will assess an applicant's academic education and training for equivalency to Canadian standards if the applicant's education and training is from a non-accredited Canadian or international program.
